Phase 3 Consulting are now offering a formalised iTrent System Review to help our clients identify the gaps between the original Business Case and the current position. For many reasons that gap can be significant and is often the cause of a great deal of dissatisfaction with the system. This may be because the system is not delivering the cost savings anticipated and promised in the original business case or that whole areas of the system have not been implemented due to project overrun in the initial phases of implementation.

We recognise that the dissatisfaction with the current state of the system can lead to increased internal costs in running the system and a significant loss of benefit from fully implementing iTrent leading to frustration at all levels within an organisation. Operational staff are working harder rather than smarter and senior management do not have access to robust and timely management information needed to support key management decisions and initiatives.

In order to close the gap between expectation, need and the current situation we will work with you through an inspection of the original project scope, anticipated savings and a thorough review of the system as it is currently configured and produce a bespoke report designed to give you the appropriate options to move towards the desired outcome. We will identify configuration issues, process issues and staff knowledge gaps and give a number of recommendations on ways forward. We understand that the budget for improvement has in all likelihood been exhausted so we will identify various quick wins along with options for a longer term correction of the current position.

We have developed a robust methodology for gathering all of the information we need to produce the report and the steps consist of:

  • Initial discussion of high level need
  • Inspection of the original Business Case and Implementation Plan (if available)
  • Agree scope of Review
  • Agree onsite timetable and access times to key staff and stakeholders
  • Perform onsite review to agreed timetable
  • Produce bespoke report with various costed options and identified quick wins
  • Optional onsite presentation of report and agreement on next steps
